Clear Creek Amana freshman Ali Seidl secured a spot at the state cross country meet with a top-15 finish at the Class 3A state qualifier at Central College in Pella on Wednesday.

Seidl finished eighth overall in a time of 19:41.21 to earn a spot at the Class 3A state meet on October 31 at Lakeside Golf in Fort Dodge.

The top-10 finish by Seidl on Wednesday helped Clear Creek Amana to a sixth-place team finish.

Top-ranked Pella won the team title with 15 points followed by ADM with 92 and Cedar Rapids Xavier with 93.

Boone was fourth with 111, Newton was fifth with 137 and Clear Creek Amana was sixth with 148.

Holley Schulte finished 27^th in 21:48.62 and Kadence Whitmer placed 36^th in 22:12.71 for Clear Creek Amana.
