Liberty High Puts Nine Players on MVC All-Division Team

Liberty High posted a 5-1 mark in Mississippi Valley Conference divisional matches this spring on its way to winning a program-record 14 wins.
For its efforts the Lightning were well represented on the MVC all-divisional teams when the league released its postseason honors on Monday.
Nine Liberty High players earned all-divisional honors highlighted by four first-team selections including junior Ava Tague who was named Mississippi Division keeper of the year.
Senior Rilyn Breinholt, junior Callie Stanley and sophomore Allie Hunter all joined Tague as first-team picks in the Mississippi Division.
Breinholt led the Lightning with 29 goals and ranked second on the team with 11 assists while Stanley had 13 goals and a team-high 16 assists.
Hunter had a pair of goals and Tague racked up 103 saves while allowing 17 goals in 18 matches.
Sophomores Morgan Bennett and Mia Ungs were each named to the Mississippi Division second team along with freshman Delilah Espinoza-Kroona.
Bennett ranked third on the team with 10 goals and had three assists for the Lightning while Espinoza-Kroona added an assist.
Senior Mimi Marquardt and junior Kali Browning were each honorable mention picks for Liberty High.
West High had a pair of players named to the Mississippi Division first team.
Freshman Sofia Fuentes was a first team pick after leading the Trojans with 16 goals and seven assists.
Senior Paz Martinez earned first team Mississippi Division honors after adding four goals and five assists.
Juniors Alex Held and Anna Goska and Lila Eastvold were all second team picks in the Mississippi Division.
Goska ranked second on the team with 12 goals and had three assists and Held had three goal and six assists.
Seniors Vera Tanas and Sophia Oulman were each honorable mention selections in the Mississippi Division for West High.
City High had two players earn first team honors in the Valley Division.
Senior Taylor Bartee and junior Evelynn Parlet each earned first-team honors for the Little Hawks.
Parlet had a team-high 11 goals and eight assists and Bartee had an assist.
Ella Kucera was a second-team Valley Division selection after posting seven goals and six assists.
Freshman Amilia Mendoza and junior Mira Gollnick each earned honorable mention honors for City High.
