West High claimed its fourth consecutive Mississippi Valley Conference divisional title on Thursday rolling to the title at the Mississippi Division title at Cedar Rapids Xavier High School.

The Trojans won nine events on Thursday while racking up 183 points to outdistance runner-up Cedar Rapids Kennedy by 20 points for the title.

Liberty High finished sixth with 42 points.

West High swept the field events as Mason Middleton won the high jump clearing 6-2 and Mason Woods won the long jump with a leap of 23-2 ½.

Colin Whitters won the shot put with a toss of 57-9 ¾ and took the discus title with a throw of 167-9.

Moustafa Tiea won the 400 in 49.25 and added a title in the 800 in 1:57.7 while West High won the sprint medley, distance medley and 4×400 relays.

West High was runner-up in the shuttle hurdle and 4×200 relays and third in the 4×800.

Ely Smock was runner-up in the 110 hurdles (14.98) and 400 hurdles (56.87) and Bernoli Luvandu was runner-up in the long jump with a leap of 22-8 ½.

James Barnett was third in the shot put (55-0), Mason Goering was third in the 400 (50.42) and Sam Showers was third in the 800 (1:57.95).

Keegan Decker led Liberty High with a title in the 3,200 in a time of 9:18.46 while Keshawn Wyldon was third in the 100 in 11.39 for the Lightning.
