Liberty Hight remained in the top 10 in the most recent Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union soccer rankings that were released on Wednesday.

The Lightning dropped three spots to ninth in the  Class 3A rankings released on Wednesday after sustaining its first loss of the season on Tuesday  at currently eighth-ranked Linn-Mar.

Liberty High (9-1-1) is in front of tenth-ranked Bettendorf in the Class 3A rankings.

Top-ranked teams in the rankings this week are Waukee Northwest in Class 3A, Waverly-Shell Rock in Class 2A and Denver in Class 1A.
