Boys Golf Roundup: Smith, Anderson Lead West Branch to Runner-up Finish at West Liberty Invite

West Branch had two golfers finish in the top five on its way to a runner-up finish at the West Liberty Invitational on Tuesday at the West Liberty Golf and Country Club.
McGavin Smith and Bryce Anderson each shot 75 to finish third and fourth respectively as West Branch shot a 314 to finish five strokes behind team champion West Liberty.
The Comets had three golfers in the top five led by individual medalist Cale Daufeldt while finishing atop a crowded leaderboard.
Mid-Prairie was third with a 316 followed by Regina with a 334 and Tipton with a 338.
Ethan Miller shot an 81 and Paxton Tisinger fired an 83 for West Branch.
Regina was led by Noah Clark with an 82 while Brendan Baker and Ben Bian each shot an 83.
