West High is back in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union soccer rankings.

The Trojans were No. 12 in the initial Class 3A rankings but dropped out following back-to-back losses to open the season.

West High (4-2-1) returned to the rankings at No. 15 in the most recent rankings released by the IGHSAU on Thursday morning.

The Trojans have won three straight matches and are unbeaten in their last five matches (4-0-1) after opening the season with losses to Ankeny Centennial and Cedar Falls.

Liberty High (6-0) moved up one spot to eighth in the 3A rankings released on Monday.

The Lightning join top-ranked Waukee Northwest as the lone remaining unbeaten and untied teams in Class 3A this season.

Other top-ranked teams in the rankings this week are Waverly-Shell Rock in Class 2A and Denver in Class 1A.
