Sydney Dee fired a one-over-par 38 to lead Solon to a win over Benton Community in their season opener on Tuesday at Tara Hills Golf Course in Van Horne.

Dee had six pars, a birdie and two bogies on her way to earning medalist honors with her round of 38.

Izzy Frees shot a 45 and tied for third for Solon while Emma Phelps shot a 47 to finish sixth and Jaya Farlinger fired a 49 to place seventh.
