State-Bound Liberty High Has Six Players Named to MVC All-Division Teams

Liberty High picked up the biggest postseason win in program history securing its first state tournament appearance with a regional final victory.
On Wednesday morning the Lightning had players rewarded for their regular season performance.
Liberty High had six players earn Mississippi Valley Conference all-division honors when the conference released its postseason awards.
Junior forward Natalie Ramsey was a unanimous Mississippi Division first team selection and senior guard Maddie Casey joined Ramsey on the first team.
Ramsey averaged 22.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 51 percent from the floor on her way to earning unanimous first-team honors.
Casey ranked second on the team with 12.9 points per game to go with 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while earning first-team all-division honors.
Senior Janessa Mosley and sophomore Ava Casey were each named to the Mississippi Division second team while freshman Natalie Schechinger and junior Madi Meyer were honorable mention selections.
Ava Casey averaged 6.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and a team-high 4.6 assists per game while Mosley averaged 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
West High had five players named to the Mississippi Division squad led by junior forward Grace Fincham who was a unanimous first-team pick.
Fincham led West High in scoring (16 ppg), rebounding (7.9 rpg) and steals (1.8 spg) and ranked second on the team with 3.2 assists per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor.
Sophomore Sasha Baldwin and junior Abby Neumiller were each named to the Mississippi Division second team.
Baldwin averaged 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game and led West High with 55 made 3-pointers.
Neumiller averaged 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game and ranked second on the team with 53 made 3-pointers.
Juniors Ava Frese and Kate Van Waning earned honorable mention honors for West High.
City High had four players selected to the Valley Division squad led by senior point guard August Palmer who was a unanimous first team pick.
Palmer led City High in scoring (14 ppg), rebounds (6 rpg) and steals (1.9) and ranked second on the team with 3 assists per game.
Sophomore Kaitlin Loria was named to the Valley Division second team.
Loria averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Senior Emmy McComas and junior Tessa Driscoll earned honorable mention honors in the Valley Division.
