Class 5A eighth-ranked West High bounced back from a loss on Friday with a 71-63 win over Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division matchup in Iowa City.

West High improved to 14-7 on the season with the win while Cedar Rapids Kennedy dropped to 9-11.

Grace Fincham had 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead four West High players in double figures.

Abby Neumiller had 15 points, three rebounds and four blocked shots and Ava Frese had 15 points, four assists and three rebounds.

Kate Van Waning had 14 points and three assists and Sasha Baldwin had six points, four rebounds and three assists for the Trojans.
