Girls Basketball Roundup: Five Spartans Score in Double Figures as Solon Wins at Independence

Class 3A No. 14 Solon broke open a tie game with a 20-point second quarter and rolled to a 76-34 win over Independence on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division matchup in Independence.
Solon improved to 8-6 with the win and 2-3 in WAMAC East Division games while Independence dropped to 7-8 and 0-5 in WAMAC East contests.
Kobi Lietz led five Solon players in double figures with a game-high 17 points while freshman Beckett Kruse had 16 points for the Spartans.
Delainey Durr had 14 points, Quinn Armentrout had 12 points and Laney Johnson added 11 for Solon.
Devin Ludwig had 12 points to lead Independence.
