Class 5A No. 13 City High fell to 3A third-ranked Dubuque Wahlert 54-51 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference contest in Dubuque.

The game was the third straight against a ranked opponent for City High which dropped to 9-4 with the loss.

Dubuque Wahlert improved to 9-1 on the season and extended its winning streak to six with the win.

August Palmer had 24 points and Emmy McComas added 13 points for City High while Kaitlin Loria had eight points.

Claire Lueken had 24 points to lead Dubuque Wahlert while Ruth Tauber added 13 for the Golden Eagles.
