Clear Creek Amana had a six-game winning streak halted with a home loss to Cedar Rapids Prairie on Saturday.

The Clippers took the first step in starting a new streak on Tuesday.

Clear Creek Amana scored 44 second-half points to pull away for a 73-62 win over Vinton-Shellsburg in a WAMAC West Division contest in Vinton.

Clear Creek Amana improved to 8-4 on the season and 3-0 in WAMAC West Division play with the win.

Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 7-5 with the loss.

Andrew Rotzoll made four 3-pointers and poured in 28 points to lead Clear Creek Amana.

Hayden Umoren had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds and added five assists.

Brody Clubb had 11 points, six rebounds and two assists and Robert Meade had eight points for the Clippers.
