City High, Clear Creek Amana and Regina all climbed in the final girls basketball rankings of 2024 released on Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Regina (7-0) remained the highest ranked area team moving up one spot to third in the Class 2A rankings behind top-ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and second ranked North Mahaska.

Clear Creek Amana (3-3) also climbed one spot rising to No. 12 in the Class 4A rankings.

City High (5-1) was the biggest area mover this week returning to the Class 5A rankings at No. 9.

West High (6-3) remained No. 12 and Liberty High (4-2) remained No. 13 in the Class 5A rankings.

Other top ranked teams this week are Johnston in Class 5A, Sioux City Heelan in Class 4A, Mount Vernon in Class 3A, and North Linn in Class 1A.
