It has taken West High’s Alexander Pierce just two seasons to establish himself as one of the best wrestlers in the state.
Before the start of his junior season Pierce made a decision on his wrestling future.
Pierce announced his commitment to Virginia on Monday with a post on social media.
“God is good,” Pierce wrote on his commitment announce on Instagram. “Blessed for this opportunity.”
Pierce is already a two-time state finalist and owns a career 77-4 record.
Last season Pierce went 35-2 and finished runner-up in Class 3A at 113 pounds after winning the 3A 106-pound title as a freshman in 2023.
