Flori Gembo

Former Liberty High standout and current Wartburg freshman Flori Gembo scored a pair of goals to help the Knights to a 7-0 win over Cornell on Thursday in Waverly.

Gembo has started four matches this season and is tied for the team lead with 18 shots while helping Wartburg to a 3-2-3 start to the season.

Gavin Hierseman

West Branch graduate and current Central College senior defensive back Gavin Hierseman had a career game in a 10-6 loss to Wartburg on Saturday in Pella.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Hierseman had a team-high 10 tackles on Saturday including a team-best six solo stops.

Hierseman also had 2.5 tackles for loss, including a sack, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

In three games this season Hierseman ranks third on the team with 16 tackles including 2.5 for loss.

John Klosterman

City High graduate and current Iowa State sophomore linebacker John Klosterman had a tackle and recovered a fumble in a 52-7 win over Arkansas State.

In three games this season Klosterman has four tackles including a sack and has recovered a fumble.
