Boys Cross Country: Tiea Wins Title To Lead West High at Cedar Rapids Invite

West High senior Moustafa Tiea claimed the individual title to lead the Trojans to a sixth-place team finish at the Cedar Rapids Invitational on Thursday at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids.
Tiea won the title in a time of 15:38, finishing more than four seconds in front of runner-up Grady Olberding of Mount Vernon-Lisbon.
The title from Tiea helped the Trojans place sixth with 159 points.
Class 4A tenth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie won the team title with 68 points followed by Bettendorf with 87 points and 4A fourth-ranked Ankeny Centennial with 91 points.
4A No. 15 Cedar Rapids Kennedy was fourth with 95 points and 3A fourth-ranked Mount Vernon-Lisbon was fifth with 130 points.
Maxwell Bruss finished 26th for West High in a time of 16:57.4 while Michael Hanna was 37th in 17:14.5 and Colin Wehrle finished 38th in 17:16.
