Regina defeated Monticello 23-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-18, 15-10 in a five-set, River Valley Conference cross-divisional thriller on Tuesday in Iowa City.

Class 2A No. 11 Regina improved to 5-6 and 1-1 in RVC play with the win while Monticello dropped to 10-3 and 1-1 against RVC opponents.

Reese Naeve hammered 42 kills to lead Regina while Caitlin Martin added 16 kills and Ella Keune had four kills and two blocks.

Nora Wilhelm had 56 assists for the Regals while Ruby Greving had two blocks and Addison Bollier had a team-high 34 digs and three ace serves.

Jayden Kuper had 43 kills to lead Monticello while Kennedy Hermsen had eight kills and Hannah Butterworth had six kills for the Panthers.
