Kaden Phan threw a complete game shutout and tripled and drove in a run to lead Clear Creek Amana to a 3-0 win over Williamsburg in a Class 3A, Substate 4 quarterfinal on Friday in Tiffin.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 22-15 on the season and will travel to Solon (28-11) on Monday in a substate semifinal.
Williamsburg closed the season 11-22.
Phan struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter in a two-hit shutout.
Robert Meade went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI to pace Clear Creek Amana while Maclane Morgan doubled and scored a run.
Luke Higdon had a hit and Ty Fuller doubled for the Clippers.
