As the high school baseball postseason nears City High, Liberty High and Solon all remained in the top 10 in their respective classes  in the latest baseball rankings released on Monday by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.

City High (30-6) is third in the latest Class 4A rankings trailing top-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy (29-2) and second-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes (30-2) in 4A.

Liberty High (21-11) is seventh in the 4A rankings and joins Cedar Rapids Kennedy, City High and sixth-ranked Linn-Mar as Mississippi Valley Conference teams in the 4A top-10.

Solon (23-10) is eighth in the latest Class 3A rankings.

Top-ranked teams this week are Cedar Rapids Kennedy (23-2) in Class 4A, North Polk (19-5) in Class 3A, West Marshall (31-1) in Class 2A and Akron-West Field (20-3) in Class 1A.
