City High defeated Class 4A No. 12 Clear Creek Amana 5-2 on Monday in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.

The win was the third straight for City High and improved the Little Hawks to 13-21 on the season while Clear Creek Amana dropped to 22-11 with the loss.

Lance Grulke-Mangrich earned the win for City High allowing two runs, one earned, on eight hits while striking out three and walking one.

Seven different Little Hawks had a hit in the win led by senior Mackenzie Dvorsky who homered and drove in two runs.

Eliza Mitchell had a hit and drove in two runs and Maeve Obermueller had a hit and drove in a run for City High.

Avy Lindsey had a hit and scored a run, Eve Vitense doubled and scored a run and Ellie Fraga had a hit and scored a run.

Jenna Zillyette homered and Kyla Shulte had a hit and drove in a run for Clear Creek Amana.
