Baseball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Sweeps Class 3A Top-ranked Marion

Clear Creek Amana continued its recent hot streak with an impressive doubleheader sweep of Class 3A top-ranked Marion on Monday in a WAMAC cross-divisional doubleheader in Tiffin.
The Clippers won the opener 8-4 and took the nightcap while improving to 14-10 on the season and has now won six of their last eight games.
Marion had a nine-game winning streak snapped with the sweep and dropped to 21-3 on the season.
Kaden Phan earned the win for the Clippers in the opener allowing four runs, three earned, on five hits over six innings pitched while striking out six and walking three.
Phan also went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Maclane Morgan went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI while Reece Cochran was 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Trace Robertson doubled and drove in a run and Robert Meade had a hit, drove in a run and scored a run.
Cochran picked up the win in game two allowing two runs on nine hits over five innings.
Wyatt Key, Robertson, Meade and Phan all had a hit and drove in a run for the Clippers in the nightcap while Meade scored twice.
Luke Young and Ty Fuller each had a hit and scored a run in game two.
