City High fell to Class 5A No. 11 Dubuque Senior 8-5 in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest on Wednesday in Iowa City.

Dubuque Senior improved to 7-3 on the season with the win while City High dropped to 4-6.

Avy Lindsay went 2-for-4 with a home run to lead City High while McKenzie Brown homered for City High.

Maeve Obermueller went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and Eliza Mitchell and Lianna Hull each had hits and scored runs.

Molly Carlson had a hit and drove in a run.
