Solon junior Isaiah Zoske secured a return trip to the state golf meet on Monday with a third-place finish at the Class 3A district meet at Waverly Municipal Golf Course in Waverly.

Zoske shot a one-over-par 71 on Monday to earn a spot at the 3A state meet scheduled for May 20-21 at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames.

Luke Frazell of Wavery-Shell Rock shot a two-under 68 to earn medalist honors for teammate Wesley Hubbard was two shots back at even par as the GoHawks shot a 286 to win the team title.

Marion finished runner-up with a 292 followed by Gilbert with a 295 and Solon with a 299.

Jack McCarty shot a three-over 73 for the Spartans while Brennan Heesch shot a 77 and Jack Irwin shot a 78 for Solon.
