West High’s Jacobsen Earns Drake Relays’ Robert Kramme Award

A weekend to remember at the Drake Relays for West High senior Aidan Jacobsen became even more memorable on Monday.
After claiming a pair of Drake Relays titles on Friday and Saturday Jacobsen was named as the recipient of the Robert Kramme Award on Monday as the most outstanding high school boys athlete of the meet.
Jacobsen won titles in the 400 hurdles and the distance medley relay while competing in four events over the course of the 2024 Drake Relays.
On Friday Jacobsen ran the 400-meter leg of the distance medley relay helping West High capture the title in the event for the second consecutive season with a winning time of 3:27.83.
Jacobsen added a title in the 400 hurdles on Saturday in a time of 52.03.
Jacobsen also was a member of the West High 4×200 relay team that finished fourth in 1:27.72 and helped the Trojans to an 18-place finish in the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:02.98.
He becomes the first West High athlete to earn the Robert Kramme Award as the most outstanding high school boys athlete of the Drake Relays.
