Last week Regina, West Branch and West High all appeared in the first edition of the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s boys soccer rankings.

On Monday all three of those teams moved up in the rankings.

West Branch, Regina and West High all climbed in the second set of rankings from the IHSAA this season that are determined by the official ranking committees made up of former coaches, officials and in-state youth club representation.

Regina (5-1) takes over the top spot in Class 1A while West Branch (6-0) moved up to second in the Class 1A rankings.

The Class 1A top-five is rounded out by West Liberty, North Fayette Valley and previously top-ranked Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck.

West High (6-1) climbed two spots to fourth in the latest Class 4A rankings.

The Trojans are behind top-ranked West Des Moines Dowling, Johnston and Waukee Northwest in the 4A top-four.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Council Bluffs Lewis Central in Class 3A and Gilbert in Class 2A.
