Isaiah Zoske shot a school-record 29 to lead Solon to win over Independence in a WAMAC Conference dual meet on Monday at Lake MacBride Golf Course in Solon.

The seven-under-par 29 from Zoske and a 38 from teammate Jack McCarty helped Solon shoot a 151 as a team to finish 14 strokes in front of Independence.

Zoske opened his round with five consecutive birdies and after a par on the par-three sixth he posted birdies on the par-five seventh and par-five ninth.

Brennan Heesch shot a 41 and Gehrig Turner, Nick Stahle and Jack Irwin all shot 43 for the Spartans.

Ethan Cahalan shot a 39 to lead Independence.
