West Branch Senior Arnaman Named River Valley Conference South Division Player of the Year

West Branch locked up a River Valley Conference South Division title last week.
On Tuesday the Bears became to rake in the postseason awards.
Senior point guard Holden Arnaman was named RVC South Division player of the year and Jason Kern was named coach of the year to highlight the postseason honors for West Branch when the league released its basketball recognition on Tuesday.
Arnaman joined fellow senior as a unanimous first-team selection on the RVC South Division team to highlight four West Branch players that earn all-division honors after the Bears finished the regular season 16-6 including an 11-1 mark in RVC South Division play.
Regina had three players earn all-division honors highlighted by first-team pick Michael Martin after posting a 14-6 season that included a runner-up finish in the RVC South with a 9-3 record.
Arnaman led West Branch in scoring (24.1) and assists (4.7) while shooting 52 percent from the floor including 50 percent from 3-point range.
The 6-foot-2 senior guard also averaged 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
Trepanier was a unanimous first-team pick after averaging 14.9 points, a team-high 9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
West Branch sophomore Brennen Dale was named to the South Division second team and sophomore Michael Montgomery was an honorable mention pick.
Dale averaged 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and a team-high 2.2 steals per game.
Martin was a unanimous first-team pick after leading Regina in scoring with 16.8 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor including 43 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
The 6-foot-2 senior guard added 4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.
Freshman Tate Wallace was named to the South Division second team after averaging 12.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Eddie Petersen earned honorable mention honors for Regina.
