Girls Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Knocks Off Class 3A Sixth-ranked Dubuque Wahlert

In a season that has already featured a handful of big wins Liberty High earned its most impressive victory to date on Tuesday.
Liberty High knocked off Class 3A sixth-ranked Dubuque Wahlert 68-54 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division contest in North Liberty.
The win snapped a two-game losing skid for Liberty High and improved the Lightning to 6-8 on the season.
Dubuque Wahlert had a seven-game winning streak halted with the loss and dropped to 16-3 on the season.
Madeline Casey hit four 3-pointers and had a team-high 17 points to lead Liberty High and also grabbed three rebounds, had three assists and two steals.
Natalie Ramsey had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds and Bella Tafolla had 11 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Haley Schroeder had five points, seven rebounds and three assists for Liberty High and Janessa Mosley had seven points and five rebounds for the Lightning.
Ava Casey added eight points and two assists.
