Girls Basketball Roundup: No. 14 West High Gets Second Road Win in as Many Nights

West High capped a four-game in five-day stretch with its second road win in as many nights on Tuesday.
Class 5A No. 14 West High used a strong defensive effort to down Waterloo West 36-30 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division game in Waterloo.
After back-to-back losses to Linn-Mar and Cedar Falls last Friday and Saturday to start its busy five-day stretch West High closed with consecutive road wins over Dubuque Hempstead on Monday and Waterloo West on Tuesday.
West High improved to 8-6 on the season with the win while Waterloo West dropped to 5-7 with the loss.
Freshman Sasha Baldwin had nine points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead West High while Grace Fincham had eight points, five rebounds and two steals.
Ava Frese had six points and two rebounds, Elle Barnett had five points and three rebounds and Alyson Skala had five points, four rebounds and two steals.
Abby Neumiller had five rebounds for West High.
