West High had four finalists and crowned a pair of champions in a runner-up team finish at the Bob Lueders Invitational on Saturday in Clinton.

Alexander Pierce and Justin Avila each earned individual titles as West High finished with 206.5 points at the 21-team tournament.

Class 3A fifth-ranked Linn-Mar won the team title with 246.5 points while West High was second followed by Lena Winslow with 188, Davenport Assumption and Pleasant Valley with 170.5.

Regina finished in a tie with Camanche for 16^th place with 41 points.

Class 3A top-ranked Pierce (24-1) won the title at 113 pounds with a 4-3 decision over Truth Vesey of Rock Island in the championship match.

Fourth-ranked Avila (23-3) went 4-0 on the day with two pins and a tech fall and won the 150-pound title with a second-period pin of Karder White of Morrison.

Freshmen Charles Barnhouse (17-9) and Matthew Tran (20-6) each added runner-up finishes for West High.

Barnhouse was second at 106 pounds dropping a 6-2 decision to Class 2A No. 10 Cale Johnson of Central DeWitt in the title match.

Tran was runner-up at 120 pounds, going 3-1 on the day with a 7-1 loss to 3A seventh-ranked Malik DeBow of Linn-Mar in the title match.

Kyler Scranton (24-4) finished third at 175 pounds for West High while Braden Doyle was third at 144 pounds and Sterling Warren was fourth at 157.

Serafim Surguladze finished seventh at 215 and Ashton Honore was seventh at 285 for the Trojans.

Regina got seventh place finish from Cash Hatfield at 138 pounds, Carter Slager at 126 pounds and Leren Fernandez at 175 pounds.
