Girls Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Defeats Linn-Mar in Return to Action

After a long delay Liberty High picked up in 2024 where it left off last year.
In its first action since December 22 Liberty High earned a 48-42 win over Linn-Mar on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in North Liberty.
The Lightning improved to 4-6 with its second win in a row while Linn-Mar dropped to 5-8 on the season.
Natalie Ramsey had 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals to lead Liberty High and Madeline Casey had 14 points and three rebounds for the Lightning.
Bella Tafolla had five points, Sydney Van Heukelom had four points and Kennedy Goodheart and Haley Schroeder each had three for Liberty High.
Dreya Kern led Linn-Mar with 12 points and Ellie Daubenmier had 10 points and nine rebounds and Maddy Blandford had 10 points for the Lions.
