West High moved up and Solon held its spot in the second set of boys basketball rankings this season released by the Iowa High School Athletic Union on Monday.

One of only two remaining unbeaten teams in Class 3A, Solon (9-0) held its spot at fourth in the second 3A rankings of the season.

Solon joins top-ranked Clear Lake (9-0) as the lone unbeaten teams in Class 3A and trails second-ranked ADM (9-1) and third-ranked Wavery-Shell Rock (8-2) in the 3A rankings.

West High (8-1) moved up two spots to eighth in the most recent Class 4A rankings.

The Trojans have won four games in a row following it’s lone loss of the season to tenth-ranked Linn-Mar (6-3) on December 15.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy (8-0) is the top-ranked team in 4A followed by West Des Moines Valley (7-2), Dubuque Senior (8-0), North Scott (8-1) and Waukee (8-3).

Other top-ranked teams this week are West  Lyon in Class 2A and North Linn in Class 1A.
