West High dropped its third consecutive game to a ranked opponent to open the season falling to Cedar Rapids Prairie 61-45 on Friday in Cedar Rapids.

Class 5A No. 14 Cedar Rapids Prairie improved to 1-1 on the season with the win while West High dropped to 0-3.

Freshman Sasha Baldwin led three West High players in double figures with 13 points while sophomore Grace Fincham had 11 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for the Trojans.

Lucy Wolf had 10 points and two assists and Ava Frese had five points and two assists.

Kate Van Waning had six rebounds and four assists and Elle Barnett had three points and two assists for West High.
