Regina picked up a pair of victories at a season-opening River Valley Conference quadrangular on Thursday at Cascade.

The Regals went 2-1 on Thursday defeating Bellevue 42-33 and downing host Cascade 51-24 and falling to West Liberty 66-15.

In the win over Bellevue the Regals had four pins with Kaleb Moeller (126), Brady Venzon (138), Cash Hatfield (144) and James Whisler (150) all winning by fall.

Regina won a pair of matches by forfeit and got a decision from Spencer Winders at 157 pounds and a decision from Simon Shetler at 190 in the win.

Against Cascade Luke Hamilton (132), Holden Berg (138) and Ian Udell (215) all won by fall while Whisler won by decision at 150 pounds, Will Aitchison won by decision at 165 and Leren Fernandez won by decision at 175.

In the loss to West Liberty Udell had a pin at 215, Hatfield won by fall at 144 and Fernandez won a 5-3 decision at 175.
