Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Drops Opener at Central DeWitt

Central DeWitt erased a three-point deficit with a 17-point fourth quarter on its way to a 59-53 win over City High in the season opener for both teams on Tuesday in DeWitt.
City High trailed 31-28 at halftime but outscored the Sabers 17-11 in the third quarter to take a 45-42 lead.
Lauren Walker led Central DeWitt with a game-high 31 points and Clara LeConte added nine points for the Sabers.
Tessa Driscoll led four City High players in double figures with 18 points.
Augie Palmer had 14 points, freshman Hattie Galloway had 11 points and Emmy McComas had 10 points.
