Clear Creek Amana had seven of the top nine individual finishers and rolled to the team title in a dominating performance at the Independence Invitational on Thursday in Independence.

Class 3A No. 11 Clear Creek Amana finished with 23 points while Waverly-Shell Rock was second with 92 and Union was third with 113.

Brock Hilsman finished runner-up in a time of 16:52.3 to lead Clear Creek Amana while teammate Thomas Stiltner was third in a time of 16:52.6.

Isaac Sorensen placed fifth in 17:26.8, Jamie Hayes was sixth in 17:37.9 and Logan Kafer was seventh in 17:43.9 for the Clippers.

Noah Yost placed eighth in 17:59.4 and Nicholas Schieltz was ninth in 18:05.6 for Clear Creek Amana.
