Clear Creek Amana remained atop the Class 4A volleyball rankings when the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released its most recent set of rankings on Thursday.

Defending 4A runner-up Clear Creek Amana is off to a 15-0 start on the season and holds the top spot in the 4A rankings for the third consecutive week.

Clear Creek Amana leads second-ranked Indianola, No. 3 ADM, fourth-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier and No. 5 North Scott  in the 4A top five.

The Clippers are one of five area teams ranked in the top 15 in their respective class.

Liberty High (4-8) dropped two spots to 10th in the Class 5A rankings while City High (5-4) climbed one spot to No. 13 in the 5A rankings.

Solon (6-5) dropped five spots to No. 12 in the Class 3A rankings while Regina (9-3) held its spot at No. 10 in Class 2A.

Other top-ranked teams in the this week are West Des Moines Dowling in 5A, Western Christian in 3A, Dike-New Hartford in 2A and Ankeny Christian in 1A.
