Your Prep Sports 

Solon and Clear Creek Amana were each in the top-12 in the Class 3A rankings to highlight five Your Prep Sports area teams in the preseason girls cross country rankings released on Tuesday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

Solon is the highest ranked area team to open the season sitting at eighth in the Class 3A rankings while Clear Creek Amana is No. 12.

City High is No. 13 and West High No. 20 in the Class 4A rankings while Regina enters the season at No. 13 in the 1A rankings.

Top-ranked teams in the preseason rankings are Johnston in Class 4A, Pella in Class 3A, Mid-Prairie in 2A and Earlham in Class 1A.
