Softball Roundup: No. 14 Clear Creek Amana Rolls Past South Tama in Regional Opener

Clear Creek Amana returned to the Class 4A rankings on Thursday and then set up a top-15 regional semifinal showdown.
Class 4A No. 14 Clear Creek Amana scored runs in five of six innings on Thursday in a 10-0 win over South Tama in a Class 4A, Region 7 quarterfinal in Oxford.
The win improved Clear Creek Amana to 19-16 on the season and sends the Clippers into the Region 7 semifinals where they will face No. 11 North Scott (23-10) on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Eldridge.
South Tama closed the season 0-31.
Reese Stockman was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored and Aeslyn Massey was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead the Clippers.
Olivia Miller had a triple, drove in two runs and scored twice, Lizzie Pasbrig had a hit, drove in two runs and scored a run and Avery Allan had a hit and drove in a run.
Kyla Schulte earned the win allowing three hits and one walk while striking out two in five shutout innings.
Schulte and Sadie Hebl each drove in a run and Hayden Frost had a hit and scored a run.
