Regina swept West Branch in a River Valley Conference South Division doubleheader on Monday in West Branch winning the opener 15-5 and taking the nightcap 12-2.

The sweep stopped a three-game losing skid for Regina and improved the Regals to 12-13 on the season and 10-4 in RVC South Division play.

West Branch dropped to 3-17 on the season and 2-13 in RVC South contests and will travel to Regina for the final game of the three-game series on Thursday.

Will Litton earned the win in the opener allowing just one hit while striking out three in four innings.

Danny Gavin went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run and drove in four runs to lead Regina.

Jack Tierney was 2-for-3 with a double and scored three runs while Drew Streb had two hits and scored three times.

Alex Paul and Hudson Koch each had two hits and scored two runs and Michael Martin had a hit and drove in a two runs.

Connor Nicpon had a hit and drove in two runs and Jack Clark had a hit for Regina in the opener.

Nolan Staker took the loos for West Branch in game one allowing seven runs, five earned, on eight hits while striking out four.

Max Lodge was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI to lead West Branch while Ian Nelson had a hit and scored a run.

Regina had 12 hits in the nightcap led by Gavin who was 5-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI.

Clark was 2-for-4 with a home run, scored twice and drove in a run and Paul had a hit and drove in two runs.

Tierney had a hit and scored twice and Litton had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.

Ben Klitgaard and Michael Martin each scored two runs.

Connor Nicpon earned the win for Regina in game two allowing two runs on six hits while striking out nine in 5 2/3 innings.

Cam Gingerich took the loss for West Branch allowing 10 runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Nelson went 3-for-4 to lead West Branch in game two while Wyatt Fiderlein was 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run and Reese Gingerich added a hit.
