Softball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Splits Doubleheader at Independence

Clear Creek Amana split a WAMAC doubleheader with Independence on Wednesday in Independence winning the opener 12-9 and dropping the nightcap 9-0.
The Clippers moved to 11-7 on the season with the split while Independence moved to 9-16.
Aeslyn Massey and Lizzie Pasbrig each had three hits and drove in two runs as Clear Creek Amana hammered 15 hits in game one.
Massey scored three runs and while Kyla Schulte had two hits and scored two runs.
Elizabeth Timmerman had two hits, including a triple, scored two runs and drove in two runs and Avery Allan had two hits including a double and drove in a run and scored a run.
Carley Nash had a hit and drove in two runs and Addie Campbell had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.
Schulte earned the win in game one allowing eight runs on 11 hits while striking out one and walking four in six innings.
Schulte, Allan and Carley Nash all had hits for Clear Creek Amana in the nightcap.
