West Branch senior Will Bridges is headed back to the state golf meet.

Bridges shot a four-over-par 76 to finish fifth at the Class 2A District meet at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club in Wapello on Monday to secure a spot at the 2A state meet next week.

A state medalist with a 13^th place finish a year ago, Bridges shot even-par on the front nine on Monday and was four over par on the back nine to finish with a 76.

Dyersville Beckman shot a 302 to win the team title while Pella Christian was runner-up with a 320.

Nate Offerman of Dyersville Beckman fired a three-under-par 69 to win the individual title while teammate Luke Harwick was runner-up with an even-par 72.

The Class 2A state golf meet is scheduled for May 22 and 23 at Coldwater Golf Links in Ames.
