John Weigel and Joe Polyak each won individual titles as City High finished third as a team at the district swim meet at Davenport Central on Saturday.

Weigel won titles in the 50 and 100 freestyle and Polyak added a title in the 100 breaststroke as City High qualified eight entries for the state meet schedule for February 10-11 at the University of Iowa Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City.

Pleasant Valley won the team title with 433.5 points while Bettendorf was runner-up with 414.5 and City High was third with 356.

Weigel won the 50 freestyle in 21.56 and added a title in the 100 freestyle in 46.58.

Joe Polyak won the100 breaststroke in 57.66 and was runner-up in the 200 IM in a time of 1:52.34.

Kento Yahashiri finished third in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 59.96 to secure a spot at state and the Little Hawks qualified all three relay teams for state.

City High was fourth in the 200 medley relay on Saturday in 1:43.59 and placed third in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:16.57.

The Little Hawks finished runner-up in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:28.52.
