Girls Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Stays Hot With Road Win at 3A No. 9 Dubuque Wahlert

Class 5A No. 11 Liberty High remained hot with a 53-46 road win over Dubuque Wahlert on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division contest in Dubuque.
The win was the fourth in the last five games and second in a row for Liberty High and improved the Lightning to 11-6 on the season.
Class 3A No. 9 Dubuque Wahlert dropped to 13-6 on the season with its second consecutive loss.
Madeline Casey led Liberty High with 12 points and six rebounds and Haley Schroeder had 12 points, three rebounds and four steals off the bench.
Avery Gaudet had 10 points and three rebounds while Janessa Mosley had seven points, five rebounds and two steals.
Jasmine Barney had six points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists for the Lightning.
Emma Donovan had 16 points and eight rebounds for Dubuque Wahlert and Claire Lueken had 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Golden Eagles.
