Even Brauns
West High graduate and current Belmont junior Even Brauns had 11 points, seven blocked shots, five rebounds and two assists in an 80-65 win over Murray State on Tuesday.
The seven blocks for Brauns were a career high and were the most by a Belmont player in a single game since 2007.
On the season Brauns is averaging 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and a team-leading 1.6 blocked shots per game while helping the Bruins to a 15-6 record and an 8-2 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Paige Rocca
City High graduate and current Missouri State junior guard Paige Rocca had 13 points, four assists and four rebounds in a career-high 39 minutes helping Missouri State to a 77-61 win over Murray State on Sunday.
Rocca set season highs in points, minutes played, field goals made (5), 3-pointers made (3) and steals (2) in the win over Murray State.
On the season Rocca is averaging 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 33 percent from 3-point range to help the Bears to a 10-7 record including a 5-3 conference mark.
Ashley Joens
Former City High standout and current Iowa State senior Ashley had 26 points and 15 rebounds in a 64-50 win over Kansas on Saturday evening.
It was the eighth 20-point scoring performance of the season for Joens and 66th of her career and the eighth double-double of the season for Joens who hold the Iowa State career record for double-doubles.
On the season Joens is averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game helping Iowa State to a 13-4 record.
