Beau Cornwell
Former West Branch standout and current Luther College junior quarterback Beau Cornwell accounted for nearly 300 yards of total offense in a 61-13 loss to Central College on Saturday.
Cornwell completed 23-of-46 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 38 yards in the loss as Luther dropped to 1-8 on the season
On the year Cornwell has passed for 2,070 yards and 15 touchdowns and has also rushed for two touchdowns.
Ashlyn Keeney
Former Liberty High standout and current Iowa State freshman Ashlyn Keeney finished 25th overall in her first ever appearance at the Big 12 Cross Country Championship on October 28 at Chapparal Ridge Cross Country Course in Lubbock, Texas.
Keeney moved up 11 spots in the final 1K to finish 25th in a time of 21:55.6.
The 25th-place finish from Keeney helped the Cyclones to a third-place team finish with 64 points.
Colby Greene
West High graduate and current Southeast Missouri State senior Colby Greene had 14 kills, six digs and three blocks in a senior night win over Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Saturday marked the fifth consecutive match with double digit kills for the 6-foot-2 Greene, who ranks second on the team with 230 kills this season while helping the Redhawks to a 12-14 record.
Greene has accumulated 820 kills and 195 blocks during her four-year career.
