Class 2A third-ranked Wapsie Valley defeated Regina 25-17, 25-10, 25-13 in a Region 7 semifinal on Monday in Fairbanks.

Regina closed the season 19-15 while Wapsie Valley improved to 40-4 and advanced to the Region 7 title game where it will face No. 12 Dyersville Beckman (28-10) on Wednesday at West Delaware High School in Manchester.

Dyersville Beckman advanced to the regional final with a 25-13, 25-23, 25-10 win over Wilton on Monday.

Freshman Reese Naeve led Regina with 12 kills on Monday while fellow freshman Kiley Devery had five kills and junior Abby Schuessler had three kills.

Sydney Wagner had a team-high 10 digs for the Regals while Courtney Kessler, Laci Chambliss and Caitlin Martin all had an ace serve.

Hannah Knight had a match-high 15 kills to pace Wapsie Valley while Taylor Buhr had 13 kills and Anna Curley added seven kills and four blocks for the Warriors.
