Aidan Decker finished a career-best third at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional meet to held Liberty High to a third-place team finish at the Dubuque Cross Country Course.

Decker placed third in a time of 15:56 to highlight a list of three top-15 finishers for the Lightning.

Noah Gregoire added a top-10 finish, placing sixth in 16:21 while Nathan Kinzer was 14^th in 16:47 for the Lightning.

Class 4A fifth-ranked Cedar Falls won the team title with 26 points while No. 16 Cedar Rapids Prairie was runner-up with 51 points and Liberty High was third with 72 points.

Owen Abel finished 24^th in 17:41 and Maxwell Thompson was 25^th for Liberty High in 17:42.

Jaden Merrick of Cedar Falls won the individual title in a time of 15:46.
