Regina Gets Back on Track With Homecoming Win Over Wilton

A week after dropping its district opener Regina got back on track on Friday with a homecoming win over Wilton.
Levi Daniel rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns and Gentry Dumont passed for 122 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Jackson Naeve as Regina rolled to a 37-13 win over Wilton at Regal Field in Iowa City.
Regina improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in Class 1A, District 5 play while Wilton dropped to 3-2 and 0-2 with its second consecutive loss.
Daniel scored a pair on a pair of first-half touchdown runs and Dumont tossed a 32-yard scoring strike to Naeve as Regina built a 21-6 halftime advantage.
The Regals put the game out of reach with two touchdowns in the third quarter.
Naeve caught his second touchdown pass of the game and Steven Liu returned an interception 35 yards for a score in the third quarter as Regina built a 37-6 lead.
Dumont completed 9-of-16 passes for 122 yards and the two touchdowns to Naeve who finished with five receptions for 59 yards and also rushed for 38 yards.
Ty Joss caught a 45-yard pass and Landis Pietrzak had a reception for 10 yards.
Jack Clark led the Regina defensive charge with seven tackles while Drew Streb had five stops for Regina.
John Devery had five tackles and an interception while Danny Gavin, Liu and Daniel each had five tackles.
