Regina held off a late charge from Monticello to earn a 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 15-25, 15-11 win over the Panthers in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup on Tuesday in Iowa City.

The Regals improved to 5-4 on the season and 1-1 in RVC play with the win while Monticello dropped to 8-4 and 1-1 in conference matches.

Reese Naeve led Regina with 21 kills and 24 digs while Caitlin Martin added 14 kills and Brooke Greiner-Gonzalez had eight kills and three blocks for the Regals.

Sydney Wagner had 50 assists and 10 digs and Laci Chambliss had a team-high 25 digs for Regina.

Kiley Devery added three blocks and Naeve had two blocks in the win.

Jayden Kuper had a match-high 26 kills to lead Monticello while Keziah McQuillen had 10 kills

Abby Sharlow added 9 kills and 5 blocks for the Panthers.
